The Libertarian nominee for Secretary of State this year has officially withdrawn from the race on Wednesday July 27th in Pierre. Kurt Evans who resides in Wessington Springs has cited personal reasons for his withdrawal from the race.
Technically the Libertarian Party of South Dakota could choose a replacement for Mr. Evans, however the deadline is tomorrow August 2nd by 5pm in Pierre.
With this withdrawal that leaves only 7 Libertarian candidates on the ballot in 2022. Those candidates include:
Tracey Quint/Ashley Strand for Governor/Lt Governor
Collin Duprel for US House
Tamara Lesnar for US Senate
Rene Meyer for State Auditor
Darren Freidel for District 33 State Senate
Sean Natchke for District 29 State House of Representatives
